On 6th March, Ash Wednesday Fr James is looking for laity support to set up a station by the double gates of the church ready for 6.30am – 9am for free beverages for commuters whilst making it obvious he will be there for commuters to receive prayer and Imposition of Ashes to help them make their start for Lent in their busy lives.

In the afternoon at 12.30pm and again in the evening at 7.30pm there will be a Mass with Imposition of Ashes. Do please make every effort to attend one of these two services.

Songs of Praise 2nd September

All welcome to the New Hymn singing practice for an hour from 11am (after Holy Hour) Saturday 25th August and September 15th September 2.30pm – All welcome. Fr James will be in attendance

All welcome to ‘St. James – Songs of Praise’ 4.30pm – 5.30pm followed by refreshments in church Sunday 2nd September.
Dear friends the intention to gather for this service isn’t simply to do ‘more church’, neither is it about simply to sing songs or have an emotional evening. The goal is to give glory to God. It’s not about singing new songs nor singing old songs. It’s more serving God’s people giving glory to God. It will help aid our steadfast gaze on the Cross of Christ and beyond to Heaven. I would recommend a read of 1 Chronicles 16:23-31. I look forward to seeing you there.
Kind regards
In the Cross of Christ
Fr James
