Beacon House Service
Beacon House serves many of the people of Colchester who are either homeless or vulnerable because of their housing situation. It offers advice, support, health care, facilities to wash oneself or one’s clothing, a clothing bank and many other vital things as well. This year is its twentieth anniversary and to mark an important milestone, for this Christian foundation, there will be a service of thanksgiving in St James on Sunday 12th June at 6-30pm, where the Bishop of Colchester will preach. This is work we at St James have been involved with for many years and it is good to be able to offer the hospitality of their parish church to the people who work in or are served by Beacon House. Please join us if you can.
The Holy Rosary
The Rosary will be prayed in St James on Monday 13th June at 7-30pm. Please join us if you can. If you are new to this style of prayer do not worry as instruction is always given. Rosaries are available to borrow or to buy if you do not have one of your own.
The June House Mass will take place on Monday 27th June, 8-00pm at the home of Jeff and Lucy Mason, 2, The Anchorage, East Mersea. If you would like to come along but transport may be difficult please have a word with Fr Peter.
