Following the very enjoyable and successful evenings of the past, another evening has been organised at the Thai 1 restaurant on East Hill. Mass at 7-00pm and then we can move over to the restaurant for our meal. As before, the cost for two courses will be £ 15-00 and the bar will be open for anyone who would like to make use of it.
A list will be displayed in St James, please add your name if you wish to join us, everyone welcome. The evening will be in aid of Church funds.
St James will be decorated for Christmas from after Mass on Sunday 21st December. Everyone welcome to join the team to decorate the church or arrange flowers. Please see Susan Noble for exact times and arrangements.
Christingles will be prepared on Wednesday 24th December at 9-30am. Help will be needed and everyone will be welcome so please come along. Morning Mass is on Christmas Eve, at 9-00am, so we can all start the day with prayer.
Many people like to contribute towards the cost of Christmas Flowers; a collection jar will be available at the back of St James for any donations people might like to make.

Dedication forms for the tree of Light can be found in church. Lights can be sponsored in memory of a loved one, an anniversary or a thanksgiving to God for the many blessings He gives us. Please hand your completed form to Sheila or Caroline. The cost of sponsoring a light is a suggested minimum donation of £6-00.
The Mass on Wednesday 17th December at 7:00pm, will be a Mass of prayer, the laying on of hands and anointing of the sick.
For Advent there will be the usual small prayer guide, please look out for yours. This is an important but manageable extra discipline for us as we prepare for Christmas. Many people have found these to be very helpful and they are reasonably priced at only £1-00.
The Holy Rosary will be prayed in St James on Monday 12th January at 7:30pm. Please do come along to join us. Instruction is given if this form of prayer is new to you. Rosaries are available to borrow or to buy.
